The Wesley Foundation of Kalamazoo holds to its vision to be an “Authentic, Transforming, Christ-centered Community” with a governance board that holds the identity as the “anti-racist, faith driven, pit crew of Kalamazoo.” The ministry is seeking a person of deep faith commitment, eager and prepared to focus on young adult lives, driven in reaching out and building relationships through university campus events and activities, with organizational skills in developing multiple small groups, ability to model leadership and train/supervise young adult leaders, and is committed to radical inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-oppression in all aspects of Christian witness and ministry. In line with living into this identity, we are giving special consideration to candidates that hold a marginalized identity.
The Wesley Foundation of Kalamazoo governing board seeks to maintain the high quality of campus ministry for which it is known and continue to cultivate strong supportive partners (primarily local churches.) The candidate will work in partnership with the current Director, the Wesley Foundation of Kalamazoo Board of Directors, paid interns, student leadership, and volunteers across the community.
